This past week has been like this: Wake up. Eat. Work. Yoga. Eat. Band practice. Eat. Sleep. Repeat 5 times.
Erika came over a lot to practice the bass. We made a recording of a practice. I think the video will work.
OKAY NOW FOR PICTURES.
Last week, quite late at night, Derek and I wished that we had some brownies. So we made some. That's all this is about.
Josh and Jessie got married, so we took them out to eat Mexican food and then to see the Globetrotters! It was really fun.
On Friday, we went to Bloomington, IL to play a show for Nathan Retzer's friend who is raising money to go to Kenya for 3 years to work with an organization to do all sorts of educational stuff with the tribes there. One of the tribes she will be working with is the Massai, which makes the Mary part of me very happy. The show went really well! We had a good time. The venue was a glass blowing facility in a warehouse. There was an old car, and we took pictures with it. We didn't actually take any pictures of us onstage, but here are a couple of old car ones. I edited them to look old and cool.
Last night I also attempted (and failed miserably) to make fresh bread. I had to throw away the unleavened brick that I made last night and I watched a couple of tutorials on youtube, and today I made these loaves. They aren't quite as tall as I'd like, but for my second try, I am happy with the result. They taste good! We'll just have small sandwiches this week.

It was good to hear from you the other day! Your blog always makes me so HUNGRY! *Grrr (that is my stomach). I love the old car pictures! You know, I once encountered the Masai... ON THE VERGE IS NOMINATED FOR A PAMMY! (I know this is random, but I am procrastinating. HOORAY!)
